How are hospital clowns being impacted by the new HIPPA Rules????

At our hospital, we are no longer allowed to have a copy of the census. This isn't too bad but it was nice to look at the census before the shift and see who was in the hospital. Perhaps there were repeats or people you know that you wanted to be sure not to bypass the room.

Are you an employee or volunteer of the hospital? If so, you can sign a confidentiality agreement to be kept on file and attend a simple 1 houre HIPPA training course. I am both a medical Director AND a caring clown. just call me Nurse Ducky

As a volunteer in two hospitals I am required to take the HIPPA training. I think that regular volunteers should take it for their own protection.
