I have just finished reading "The Clown Star" by David Bartlett for the second time. I would include it on my list of "must reading".
David teaches us how to get inside of our clown, rather than just the surface aspects of costume and face. He is inciteful and academic while providing practical clues on clown character, creating humor and mood and many other tips for the clown who wants to improve, grow, or renew their zest for the craft. I loved it. You can find it on Daves website www.mrrainbowtheclown.com |

Arne, I am looking for a book and currently have a search going online for it. It was written by Glen "Frosty" Little and is now out of print. Would love to get my hands on a copy if you know about a copy let me know. I just recently subscribed to the Hospital Clown Newsletter and finally joined this group so I could share some of my neat experiences. Hope to see you at Moosecamp 2006, are you going? I have gotten very busy during this holiday season doing caring clowning in nursing homes and assisted living facilities and of course my hospice here. Having a ball.
